Group Aftermarket Director

As the Group Aftermarket Director, you will play a pivotal role in driving the growth and profitability of aftermarket services across a small group of companies. You will be responsible for developing and implementing commercial, sales, and operational strategies that will maximise aftermarket revenue, increase profit margins, enhance customer satisfaction, and optimise operations within all aftermarket functions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement the aftermarket business strategy aligned with the group’s overall goals and objectives. 
  • Drive aftermarket revenue growth by identifying and capitalising on upselling and cross-selling opportunities, expanding service contracts, training programs, and optimising spare parts sales etc.
  • Lead, mentor, and inspire a cross-functional team of aftermarket professionals, including sales, service, parts, and support staff. 
  • Collaborate with Service Managers, who will report directly to you, to ensure the delivery of service excellence and timely installations.
  • Work with other business units and departments to ensure the seamless integration of aftermarket services into the overall customer experience.
  • Define and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the success of the aftermarket division and ensure it meets financial and service level targets.
  • Stay abreast of industry trends, market developments, and competitor activities to identify potential opportunities to expand the aftermarket business, including spare parts, maintenance contracts, and upgrade projects.
  • Manage aftermarket budgets, including forecasting, resource allocation, cost control and monitoring financial performance against targets.

Candidate Requirements:

  • Senior leadership experience in aftermarket function within the capital equipment or related industry.
  • Demonstrable ability to drive revenue growth and profitability.
  • Proven track record of developing and executing successful aftermarket strategies.
  • Strategic thinker with the ability to translate ideas into actionable plans.
  • In-depth knowledge of capital equipment and aftermarket trends.
  • Strong leadership and team-building skills.
  • Exceptional communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficient in data analysis and reporting.
  • Willingness to travel as required – Ideally you will be based in North West, England.
