Maintenance Engineer

This is a fantastic opportunity for an Electrically Biased Maintenance Engineer to join an expanding manufacturing business situated in Knutsford.

As a Maintenance Engineer, in additional to carrying out day-to-day maintenance, you’ll also have the chance to play a crucial role in supporting and driving these projects forward.

About the role:

You'll be an integral part of a tight-knit engineering team. Collaborating closely with your fellow engineers, you'll ensure the smooth operation of automated production machinery and site services.  Responding to breakdowns, conducting planned maintenance, and troubleshooting electrical and mechanical issues will be among your key responsibilities. 

  • Execute planned maintenance schedules to ensure optimal machine performance.
  • Rapid response to production breakdowns to minimise downtime.
  • Diagnose and resolve electrical and mechanical faults.
  • Test and replace parts/components such as sensors, motors, belts, bearings, and pumps.
  • Contribute to general building maintenance and site services.
  • Actively support capital projects and machinery upgrades.

Shift Pattern:

  • Day shifts - 5 Days On, 3 Days Off pattern (6am to 4pm).
  • No Nights, No Call Outs.

Suitable applicants will hold the following skills and experiences:

  • Electrically Biased with solid mechanical skills.
  • Holds recognised electrical qualifications.
  • Proven Maintenance Engineer experience within manufacturing environment.
  • Strong team player who can also work independently.
  • Demonstrated initiative in implementing maintenance improvements.
