Responsibilities for the Mechanical Design Engineer:

• Collaborating with cross-functional teams to develop cutting-edge machinery solutions.
• Utilising your expertise in SolidWorks to create detailed 3D models and 2D drawings.
• Production of sheet metal designs and detailed assembly drawings
• Conducting feasibility studies and prototyping to ensure design concepts are viable.
• Preparing machinery documentation and manuals
• Producing Bill of Materials (BOM’s)
• Ensuring designs meet performance, safety, and regulatory standards.
• Participating in design reviews and providing technical support to manufacturing and assembly teams.

The equipment is designed and manufactured on-site in Blackburn, so you will witness your machinery designs being built first-hand and take part in internal projects aimed at improving existing designs and manufacturing processes.

To be considered for this role, you should possess the following skills and experiences:

• Proven experience in mechanical design and engineering.
• Proficiency in SolidWorks is essential.
• Good knowledge of mechanical, sheet metal and fabrication processes
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
• Attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality work.
