3-week rotating shift pattern: week 1, 4x 12-hour days Monday to Thursday; week 2, 3x 12-hour nights Monday to Wednesday; week 3, 8-4 days Monday to Friday (LONG WEEKENDS)

We are seeking a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer to join a well-established and growing manufacturing business. Located in the picturesque Highland area of Ross and Cromerty, this company is seeing significant investment into its site and facilities. As part of their commitment to investing in Scotland, we are seeking a skilled Maintenance Engineer to join a friendly group of Engineers and become a key member of the team.  

Job Responsibilities:

• Carry out planned and reactive maintenance to optimise machinery efficiency and keep downtime to a minimum.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot equipment malfunctions, identifying the root causes and implementing effective solutions.
• Work closely with the engineering team to maintain and repair a range of equipment, including bucket elevators, conveyors, screw conveyors, coolers, boilers, dryers, extruders, bulk baggers, PLCs, and more.
• Partake in site improvement projects and installations of new equipment on site.

Qualifications and Expertise:

• Apprentice served with ONC/HNC in Engineering or HND or a relevant engineering discipline.
• Previous experience working as a maintenance engineer in a manufacturing environment.Competency in in responding to both Electrical and Mechanical breakdowns.
• Ability to work well as part of a team, strong communication skills, able to both take instruction and use initiative.
• Electrical/mechanical/pneumatic system knowledge

Salary & Benefits:

• Salary of £40,000 per annum, including shift allowance.
• Depending on the rotation, every 2 to 3 weeks, you'll have the freedom to take either a 3-day or 4-day weekend.
• This schedule ensures that you won't be working on weekends and allows for greater work-life balance!
• Option for overtime on Fridays; production only runs Monday – Thursday.

This role is commutable from Ross and Cromarty, Inverness, Dingwall Glen Morangie, Muir of Ord, Invergordon, Culloden, Craig Dunain, Kirkhill, Kiltarlity.
