Basic Salary £40,500 pa (£43,000 pa with add Ons) + Regular Overtime

We are currently seeking a highly skilled and motivated Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer to join an expanding and well-established manufacturing business.

Shift pattern: Four shift rota of 4 x 8hr days Monday to Friday (Week 1: 4am to 12pm; Week 2: 5am to 1pm; Week 3: 10am to 6pm; Week 4: 3pm to 11pm; on call 1 weekend in 4). 

There is also the option to work a Permanent Afternoon Shift 14:00 – 22:00.

Responsibilities:

• Carry out planned and reactive maintenance to optimise machinery efficiency and keep downtime to a minimum.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot equipment malfunctions, identifying the root causes and implementing effective solutions.
• Work closely with the engineering team to maintain and repair a range of equipment, including ovens, provers, slicers, conveyors, inspection machinery, mixers, packaging machinery, depositors, flow wrappers, spiral freezers, AI compressors, boilers etc.

Qualifications and Expertise:

• Previous experience working as a maintenance engineer in a manufacturing environment.
• Competency in in responding to both Electrical and Mechanical breakdowns.
• Ability to work well as part of a team, strong communication skills, able to both take instruction and use initiative.
• NVQ Level 3/ONC in Electrical Engineering or equivalent qualification in a relevant engineering discipline.
• Willingness to be part of the on-call rotation, with the ability to respond promptly to call-outs during weekends.

Salary & Benefits:

• Basic Salary £40,500 pa (£43,000 pa with add Ons) + Regular Overtime
• Engineers typically earn close to £50,000 pa (P60 earnings)
• 20 Holidays + 8 Bank Holidays
• Pension Plenty of Overtime Available, should you want it.
